Pirate King (Michael Gondek) and Major-General Stanley (Matthew Roehrig) try to understand one another.
Daughters plead with the pirates
"See at our feet they kneel; Our hearts we cannot steel . . ."
Major-General Stanley's daughters plead with the Pirates.
Moping Major-General
"Dear father, why leave your bed, when happy daylight is dead? "
Mabel (Elaine Crane), daughters and staff attempt to console Major-General Stanley (Matthew Roehrig).
When the Foeman . . .
"When the foeman bares his steel."
The police assemble under the direction of their Sergeant (Steve Morgan).
The Paradox is explained to Frederic
"And so I will be merciful . . . Say on!"
The Pirate King (Michael Gondek) and Ruth (Courtney Sylvain) convince Frederick (Michael Holt) that he should listen to an intriguing paradox.
Police Sergeant and his men
"A policeman's lot is not a happy one."
The policemen, led by the Sergeant (Steve Morgan), bemoan the fact that they must deprive others of their freedom.
Pirates confront the Major-General
"Forward, my men, and seize that General there! His life is over."
The pirates, led by the Pirate King (Michael Gondek) and Samuel (John Healy), sieze the Major-General (Matthew Roehrig).
Pirates defeat the Police
"We triumph now, for well we trow, . . ."
The pirates defeat the police after a 'monumental' struggle.
Queen Elizabeth arrives
"Yes, yes, with all their faults, they love their Queen."
Queen Victoria (Elaine Fligman) arrives to place the pirates under arrest.
Finale
"Fair days will shine, Take heart, . . . Take ours!"
As usual, all is well that ends well.
